No confirmed couch co-op or split-screen mode is available. Big Walk is designed for online co-op, so people in the same home need separate supported devices and accounts.

The short answer on local co-op
What to know
The official Big Walk FAQ describes an online cooperative experience and explains that the communication design works best when players cannot simply look at one another's screen. Steam lists Online Co-op and cross-platform multiplayer, but it does not list Shared/Split Screen Co-op.
That means one television, one console and two controllers are not a supported setup. A second local player cannot press a button and join the same screen in the way they might in a traditional couch co-op game.

How to play from the same home
What to know
Two people in the same home can still play together online. Each person needs a supported system, a copy of the game, their own display and a network connection. The host opens the world and the other person joins through the normal friend flow or Join Code.
The official guidance recommends playing in separate rooms. That preserves the intended experience: players describe what they see, lose track of each other and solve problems through voice rather than screen sharing.
- Prepare two supported devices
- Install compatible game versions
- Use separate displays and accounts
- Have one player host the world
- Join through friends or a Join Code

What local co-op does not mean here
What to know
Crossplay does not create split screen. Remote Play, screen mirroring or connecting extra controllers also does not add a local mode that the game does not provide.
If the developer later announces shared-screen support, this page will need an official-source update. Until then, treat online play on separate devices as the supported option.
What this guide does not claim
Community labels are not presented as official names. Approximate coordinates stay marked as approximate, version-sensitive facts need a publication-day check, and no unsupported platform, code, solo route or mod-only shortcut is invented.
