01 · Guide notes
What the host selects
What to know
When hosting, the world setup offers 2-player, 3-player and 4+ configurations. This choice adjusts challenge configurations; it does not prevent more friends from joining later, up to the 12-player maximum.
02 · Guide notes
Choose a group size
What to know
Smaller groups make role assignment and communication easier. Larger groups create a more chaotic social experience, but every player should still know the host, meeting point and current objective.
A person can enter the world alone, but the official FAQ says they will not progress far because the game is designed around cooperation.
What this guide does not claim
Community labels are not presented as official names. Approximate coordinates stay marked as approximate, version-sensitive facts need a publication-day check, and no unsupported platform, code, solo route or mod-only shortcut is invented.
